Arrive in Green Bay

Make your way to your local airport to board your flight(s) to Green Bay Airport. Arrive in Green Bay, and make your way to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, where we will first take a tour. Established in 1851, and consecrated in 1881, the cathedral is of Romanesque architecture, modeling after the Ludwigkirche in Munich, Germany.

Behind the altar is a 40 by 25-foot mural entitled "The Crucifixion" that was painted in 1883 by Johann Schmitt, a German immigrant. In addition, eight additional paintings of his were installed throughout the cathedral, representing the eight beatitudes. We will celebrate a private Mass, followed by free time for lunch on your own. From there, we will make our way to the Hotel in time for check-in, with plenty of time to relax and unpack. We will host a "Welcome Dinner" that evening, and then you can retire to your room for a restful night's sleep.
